Can’t add or play some mp3s in iTunes? Here’s a fix!
If you have some mp3s that you can’t add to iTunes but play fine in other players, you might want to try this.
Download foobar and install it. This is for PC only!
Add your offending MP3s highlight them all, right click go to Utils -> Rebuild MP3 Stream.
Just click yes on the dialog box. It’s just saying it’s going to strip and reinsert your tags. After that they should add and play fine in iTunes.
If anyone knows of any Mac players that will do this “Rebuild MP3 Stream” function please post a comment!
My Giant Hulu List
I’m sure you’ve all heard about Hulu.com. Well, if you don’t have an invite like the rest of us unwashed masses, you’ve been either randomly clicking on this clickable list of all 1800 videos or using this excellent site to browse through all the (2000 now) videos.
Well, I’ve been extremely bored at work, so I’ve been browsing through the videos using premity.com’s excellent script. I’ve catalogued a bunch of the videos that I’m interested in. This list was originally just for personal use so I’d have a reference if I ever wanted to watch an episode of something here at work but the list became so extensive, I thought it might be useful to others. Sorry I wasn’t bored enough to catalog everything, so there are only a few select shows on this list.
Also, here are all the movies available so far:
- The Jerk
- Blues Brothers
- The Breakfast Club
- Master and Commander
- Weekend at Bernie’s
- Sideways
- October sky
- Breaking Away
- Bulworth
Click after the jump for the complete first seasons of Over there and Friday Night Lights and a list of episodes of 30 Rock, House, Chuck, Arrested Development, American Dad, Family Guy, The Simpsons, Life, Heroes, The Office, Journeyman, Prison Break and 1 Scrub episode (bleh).
Disclaimer: I was half-asleep while cataloging these so I’m probably missing an episode here or there. If you happen to find one that I missed, please comment where it’s at and I’ll update the list accordingly. Thanks!
Gizmo at the dog run!

Gizmo and Friends, originally uploaded by jerizm.
Here’s Gizmo(the white JRT in the middle) with a couple friends at the Little Bay Park Dog Run.
Skateboards4Trees

My friend/artist extraodinaire, Josh Liu, has started this awesome campaign, Skateboards4Trees:
I’m really excited to show you all this!
Each of these boards was originally a blank deck. They were colored with spray paint and the designs were all drawn by hand. A layer of polyurethane gloss was applied over each finished piece. The decks themselves are made of Canadian maple and pretty good for skating but I wish they’ll remain nice; hanging on your wall.
Here’s the really cool part. It’s for a good cause:
For each board, I’ll donate 10 trees to a local park.or
I’ll donate $10 to save 2,500 square feet of rainforest (http://www.arborday.org/shopping/donations/orderrfr.cfm)
your choice.
and you can fund my summer abroad..
Feel free to show this to any friends who might be interested but he/she better be coool.
Thanks and Enjoy.
The one in the middle is off the market already (bought by me!) but as of the writing of this post, the other two are still available. This is your one chance to get an awesome, hand-made, one-of-a-kind deck from an amazing artist. Oh yeah, he’s a pretty cool guy too. Plus, you’ll be helping the environment too! If you’re interested in one of these decks, email him at decks.by.jwar[at]gmail[dot]com. Act fast, becuase these babies aren’t going to last long!
Click after the jump for pics of the individual decks.

Excuse us while we tumble…
Excuse us while we’re trying out some alternate forms of blogging. We’re currently experimenting with tumbling to see if that would be a better medium for WDS. Check out our tumblrs below. Please let us know what you think in the comments.
Tumblrs:
Thank you very much if you’re still reading us.
Our 15 seconds of fame
Your friendly neighborhood WDS blogger, Clarence (that’s me) and everybody’s favorite WDS fangirl, Ann, were featured in an article today on Spin.com. Now when I say featured, I mean the article contains a couple of awkward pictures of us, our names, ages, occupations and a couple of quotes. For nobodies like us, that’s a big thing.
We were approached by Spin.com while waiting to get into the sold-out LCD Soundsystem show Friday night. I guess we just looked the right amount of bored and stylish for them to pick us out of the crowd. We tried to look apathetic and cool for the pictures, but unfortunately we were giddy as hell and couldn’t wipe those stupid smirks off our faces as we posed.
It looks like we were internet celebrities for a hot minute. This beats the time we were featured in a Gawker article.
By the way, in case anybody’s wondering, the show was freaking awesome.
Here’s the article if you missed the three links above and click after the jump for those deliciously awkward pictures of us.

Not your Typical music video
Mute Math’s music video for Typical:
Awesome. I went to see them a couple of months ago when they played BB Kings in Times Square, and if it’s possible, I think they showed even more energy on stage. If you haven’t checked them out yet, I urge you to do so. Right now.

Foot Boob
After a 12-hour workday, I was getting ready to get my weary ass home when I glanced at my meebo tab and saw the following IM:
Gee: http://dermatology.cdlib.org/124/case_presentations/pseudomamma/conde.html
Gee: enjoy!
How I could resist such temptation? I clicked on the link and loaded the following page: “Pseudomamma on the foot: An unusual presentation of supernumerary breast tissue.” Great. What the hell does that mean? I scrolled down a bit, and saw the following pictures to which I concordantly started cracking up:
A 22-year-old woman sought medical care for a lesion in the plantar region of her left foot, a well-formed nipple surrounded by areola and hair. Microscopic examination of the dermis showed hair follicles, eccrine glands, and sebaceous glands. Fat tissue was noted at the base of the lesion. Clinical and histopathologic findings were consistent with the diagnosis of supernumerary breast tissue, also known as pseudomamma. To our knowledge, this is the first report of supernumerary breast tissue on the foot.
Don’t really understand all that medical mumbo jumbo? That’s ok. Let me translate. She has a foot boob. That’s right, hair on the nipple and everything. There’s basically real breast tissue on her foot — no superfluous fake third nipple here. That there is a real boob.
